Shoebill Stork

One of the rarest birds in the world. This bizarre looking Shoebill Stork can be found in a few locations in Uganda.
This photo was taken in Mabamba Wetland where we ventured with a local guide in a boat, to see this magnificent specimen catching a fish and stalking in its swampy environment.

Barbet

This little bird is difficult to see as it usually moves through the upper canopy of trees in its quest for food.
This barbet was one of a pair observed in the Botanic Gardens in Entebbe.

Touraco

A bird of the forest that may be difficult to spot even though it is brightly coloured. The touraco tends to be hidden amongst the foliage as it seeks out its favourite fruits
Can be found in several locations, this one was seen in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
